Growing up as a kid in a food family, I ardently resisted the long and laborious dinners I was subjected to all throughout my childhood.
Why couldn’t we have one meal on one plate like so many of my friends? Liz’s family is having Tuna Noodle Casserole at 5 o’clock! I don't want multiple courses starting with scallops swimming in a grapefruit beurre blanc!
I’ve grown up. A long, lingering dinner is now my favorite way (the only way?) to spend an evening. I deeply appreciate the early culinary education I was given as a kid. It led to my career in digital food media – and continues to be where my biggest joys and talents lie.
I have deep experience in creating, executing and marketing all types of high-impact, multi-media projects for lifestyle brands – both small and large (i.e. from shoestring to sky’s-the-limit budgets).
As a founding member of Food.com (formerly Genius Kitchen), I was instrumental in helping the brand grow unique traffic from less than 1.2M to ~50M, making it the #3 food destination in digital. I created and launched Food’s video strategy, which became the most socially engaging and viral content in the history of Scripps, now Discovery Networks.
